For families

The Hutte is set on a three acre field, above the village of All Stretton. Access to the field is via a wooded track, so beyond the gate there are no cars until you walk down into the village or up to the road leading onto the lower slopes of the Long Mynd.

There is a mini hutte for sleeping or playing in and wood to collect for the outdoor woodstove. Great for cooking baked beans outside and toasting marshmallows.

We usually have a few hens on the field so you can collect an egg for breakfast. Our neighbouors  have some rather shaggy Highland cattle and a small herd of Alpacas live up the road. The buzzards circle overhead and you may spot the occasional Red Kite, or see our resident Tawny Owl down the track.

We are not far from Acton Scott Working Farm; you can see the piglets, watch the blacksmith or see the butter-making. Stokesay and Ludlow Castles are great for climbing up towers and racing round moats. There’s is a public swimming pool in Church Stretton and plenty of streams for paddling and fishing with your nets.
